TURNERS FALLS, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – Authorities are looking for a shooting suspect in Turners Falls.
An active search is underway as investigators actively look for the suspect who they said fled into the woods earlier in the day Tuesday.
Officers have been in the area of 11th Street for hours conducting their search.
There are dozens of law enforcement officers searching by air, water, and on foot. Mass. State Police confirmed that they have a number of units responding including their Air Wing, K-9, and other tactical units. Our crews have also seen a SWAT team in the area.
The bridge on 11th Street has just reopened.
But, police are asking the public to stay away from the area of 11th Street since it is still an active scene.
